Josee Morneau is from Kingsbury, Quebec.  She grew up on a dairy farm which gave her a solid working environment.  Josee learned to love and respect family, church, animals and being strong.  While growing up Josee had the desire to compete in strength contests.  Watching the World Strongman Events on TV, stirred a desire and courage to want to be just like one of the strong guys.  While growing up, Josee was involved in track and field.  She excelled in shot put, discus, javelin and hammer.  She also maintained the title of Legion Canadian Champion at the ages of 15, 16, and 17.  Josee had a desire to speak English and to learn other strength sports, which took her to live with friends in Winnipeg MB.  There she attended a French University in order to compete in athletics.  Now, Josee is in her 30s, five feet – seven inches tall, and works at a Greek restaurant, still competing mostly in arm wrestling and Highland Games.   Holds Canadian Championships in both sports.

Message from Josee

I was pretty excited to come up North to finally see The Pas. They made me feel like home, some of the friendliest people I ever met. I'm always up to challenges and to give it a try to do flour packing got me training and focusing for a few weeks. I would have loved to meet Linda Buck. I sure hope to meet her one day to hear about when she was competing.
